It would still be a good idea to measure the bridge rotation when you string it back up. The condition probably was a result of construction since it is new, but it_could_be premature deformation from overloading the top. (top and bracing not stiff enough for the string gauge and height above soundboard) Measuring the bridge rotation under loading will tell you if that's the case.

I'll do that & keep everyone posted.

I still need to finish shaping the wedge I added under the fingerboard.

Since I've reset the neck, the saddle will be a little higher which will create more torque on the bridge so I'll pay careful attention.
